Many CSUSB students are unaware and unprepared for the state primaries to be held tomorrow, June 8. Students are not the only ones that have voter apathy when it comes to the primaries. Citizens as a whole are more likely to vote in the general elections in November than in the primaries.

New problems for British Petroleum (BP) arise while efforts to contain the oil spill continue. There has been speculation by some faculty and staff about changing the 10 week quarter system to the s16 week semester system that most of the other CSU's have.
The recent oil spill in The Gulf of Mexico creates questions as to why politicians had to cut funding for oil companies and why the former Bush administration ignored necessary safety precautions at oil rigs. It is known that British Petroleum representatives made some of their workers engage in tasks that were unsafe to speed up projects even if it were hazardous, as reported by CNN.

I'm so sorry Diana Cansino did not actually read the Arizona law before writing an article about it. How arrogant of her to mistate the law's true wording to further a personal opinion cloaked as news and journalism, rather than an editorial. Diana, maybe when you grow up and learn personal responsibility, you will understand the importance of truth and impartiality when stating 'facts.' Your personal agenda is obvious, be woman enough to just admit it instead of mis-reporting.
